Dog Star Silver
Anam cara (soul friend) ogham pendant
Anam cara (soul friend) ogham pendant
Handmade pendant made with my own silver stamp featuring 'anam cara' - meaning soul friend in Irish - written in ancient celtic ogham script.
A soul friend is different to a soul mate - they're someone you share your deepest secrets with, so can be a best friend or relative as well as a romantic partner. In celtic spiritual tradition this bond would bring light and peace to both of you and allow you to be your true self.
This makes it the perfect gift for someone special, and each one is made using fine and sterling silver and comes hung on a sterling silver chain.
It comes gift wrapped and is sent first class in compact eco packaging, slim enough to fit through standard letterboxes.
**This item is made to order and can take 1-2 weeks to dispatch**
Ogham was used in Ireland and parts of the UK between the 5th and 9th centuries and is the earliest known form of writing in Ireland.
Found in carvings and some printed materials, Ogham stones can be found in many locations throughout Ireland, with the inscriptions written vertically and read from bottom to top.
As this pendant is handmade to order please allow a week for dispatch.

On the rare occasion that a small amount of non-recycled silver has been used in a particular design, it is always mentioned in the description.

To look after your Dog Star Silver jewellery keep it away from the shower or pool, let lotions & perfumes dry in before wearing, and take it off before playing sport or sleeping. Store your piece in a jewellery box, and if it ever dulls give it a little love by polishing it using a microfiber cloth, or use one of the polishing kits available in the 'extra's' section of the shop.
Pieces made using fine 999 silver are softer than the sterling silver ones and should be treated thus - please don't try to bend your jewellery or treat it harshly - it may break!
